چکیده

We consider a sample of about 50 distant galaxy clusters at z > 0.15 (< z >∼ 0.3), each cluster having at least 10 galaxies with available redshift in the literature. We select member galaxies, analyze the velocity dispersion profiles, and evaluate in a homogeneous way cluster velocity dispersions and virial masses. We apply the same procedures already recently applied on a sample of nearby clusters (z < 0.15) in order to properly analyze the possible dynamical evolution of galaxy clusters. We do not find any significant difference between nearby and distant clusters. In particular, we consider the galaxy spatial distribution, the shape of the velocity dispersion profile, and the relations between velocity dispersion and X–ray luminosity and temperature. Our results imply little dynamical evolution in the range of redshift spanned by our cluster sample, and suggest that the typical redshift of cluster formation is higher than that of the sample we analyze.

Scaling relations in dynamical evolution of star clusters

We have carried out a series of small scale collisional N-body calculations of single-mass star clusters to investigate the dependence of the lifetime of star clusters on their initial parameters. Our models move through an external galaxy potential with a logarithmic density profile and they are limited by a cut-off radius. In order to find scaling relations between the lifetime of star cluste...

Pareto Optimal Multi-Objective Dynamical Balancing of a Slider-Crank Mechanism Using Differential Evolution Algorithm

The present paper aims to improve the dynamical balancing of a slider-crank mechanism. This mechanism has been widely used in internal combustion engines, especially vehicle engines; hence, its dynamical balancing is important significantly. To have a full balance mechanism, the shaking forces and shaking moment of foundations should be eliminated completely. However, this elimination is usuall...

Dynamical masses , time - scales , and evolution of star clusters

This review discusses (i) dynamical methods for determining the masses of Galactic and extragalactic star clusters, (ii) dynamical processes and their time-scales for the evolution of clusters, including evaporation, mass segregation, core collapse, tidal shocks, dynamical friction and merging. These processes lead to significant evolution of globular cluster systems after their formation.

Dynamical evolution of nonclassical properties in cavity quantum electrodynamics with a single trapped ion

In this paper, by considering a system consisting of a single two-level trapped ion interacting with a single-mode quantized radiation field inside a lossless cavity, the temporal evolution of the ionic and the cavity-field quantum statistical properties including photon-counting statistics, quantum fluctuations of the field quadratures and quantum fluctuations of the ionic dipole variables are...

Effects of Primordial Mass Segregation on the Dynamical Evolution of Star Clusters

In this paper we use N -body simulations to study the effects of primordial mass segregation on the early and long-term evolution of star clusters. Our simulations show that in segregated clusters early mass loss due to stellar evolution triggers a stronger expansion than for unsegregated clusters. Tidally limited, strongly segregated clusters may dissolve rapidly as a consequence of this early...

Dynamical Evolution of Globular Clusters in Hierarchical Cosmology

We probe the evolution of globular clusters that could form in giant molecular clouds within high-redshift galaxies. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the large and dense enough gas clouds assemble naturally in current hierarchical models of galaxy formation. These clouds are enriched with heavy elements from earlier stars and could produce star clusters in a similar way to nearby molecula...
